Customer Service - Operations

The Gem-Pet Customer Service responsibilites include:

  • Maintain a professional, courteous and appropriate approach during all phone and email interaction with all customer(s) (internal or external) to determine customer communication needs.
  • Apply product knowledge to all customer interactions to develop and build ongoing customer relationships and confidence.
  • Ensure all telephone inquires and messages for external or internal customers are being logged and responded to in a professional, courteous, appropriate and timely manner
  • Ensure all incoming orders are entered in the order tracking system according to established department procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments of the company.
  • Partner with co-workers and all departments on the floor to meet and maintain the established "Average Wait Times" that are measured on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Provide support and assistance to management and all co-workers with special assignments and meeting the established timeframes for completions when directed by management.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the day assuring accuracy with the POS(Point of Sale) terminals.

 

Qualifications

This person must be a balanced, caring and loving person, but also strong and professional. This person must listen well, and know when to move the conversation forward. Our customers are often emotionally concerned, and poised care works well for them. The position requires, High school and or/college diploma, 2 to 3 year experience working in a customer service environment, the ability to develop stong working relationships with co-workers and other departments within the company, the ability to meet and manage conflict with appropriate resolutions, strong computer skills in MS Office, email writing, strong prioritization and organizational skills to meet established deadlines, strong academic and/or business background with English language usage and grammatical skills.

 

*Strong knowledge of jewelry, pets or solace preferred.
